mine and my boyfriend first time here (for my boyfriend birthday meal), always wanted to go and will defo be coming back again the food was 10/10 the boy with the black cap on who served us from start to finish was so lovely, kind and smiley, and the other boy bagged our left overs in a bag very helpful and the Afro beats music was good as well
I would say Afro Lounge was actually better than I thought it would be. The food didn’t take long to be made, and to my surprise, the Egusi Soup was really delicious and tested really authentic. The pounded yam was good and well made. The atmosphere was comfy, chill, and relaxed. With lots of menu options, I also tried the white soup; it was decent and tasted more like pepper soup. Great service. Decent price. Delicious food. I recommend.

Great experience here, service was super friendly and fast, atmosphere was lovely with great music and people dancing a little. Food was good, first time trying fufu and poundo with one of their stews/ curries and tasted great, even tho I burnt my hands a little trying to pick it up. Probably not the best stew/ curry they have though as I chose a vegetable base one which the server tried to caution me out of but tasty nonetheless. Also tried the jollof rice with turkey, although this tasted a little burnt? Might just be the differences in jollof we've tried though so can also appreciate it nonetheless. Definitely check this place out! Prices are a lot more reasonable than some in Cardiff wanting £20 for poundo and soup which is absurd

I came here for an evening out with my colleagues to try out the Nigerian food on offer. We ordered a variety of meals and the food was delicious and authentic. This Nigerian approves! I’ll definitely visit again and highly recommend for authentic Nigerian food.
